Get testnet USDC from Circle and create an L1 with Native Minter enabled.
Get USDC & Create Your L1
First, get testnet USDC from Circle's faucet. Then create an L1 with the Native Minter precompile enabled.
Prerequisites
Before starting, make sure you have:
- Core Wallet browser extension installed
- Test AVAX on Fuji C-Chain for gas fees (get it from the Fuji Faucet if not automatically airdropped)
Get 1 USDC from Circle Faucet
- Go to the Circle Faucet
- Select "USDC" as the token
- Select "Avalanche Fuji" as the network
- Enter your wallet address
- Click "Send 1 USDC"
USDC Contract Address on Fuji: 0x5425890298aed601595a70AB815c96711a31Bc65
You can request 1 USDC every 2 hours per address. This 1 USDC will be used to collateralize your bridge.
After receiving USDC, you can verify the balance in your Core Wallet or by checking the Fuji Explorer.
Create an L1 with Native Minter enabled
Use the Create Chain tool below. In the Genesis JSON / precompiles section, enable:
- Native Minter (required)
For this chapter, you only need Native Minter. Other precompiles like Reward Manager are optional.
